According to ESPN, the star forward will announce his free-agent destination Sunday on his company-owned sports business network, “The Boardroom.” The New York Times reported the Warriors plan to offer Durant a five-year, $221 million max deal when free agency begins Sunday at 6 p.m. ET. Durant declined his $31.5 million option with the Warriors to become an unrestricted free agent. It has been speculated that he will leave Golden State to sign with a different team, though his long-term future has become complicated since he ruptured his Achilles during the NBA Finals....

When inquired about masks in schools, Faulconer said that the vaccine is the best way to bring the COVID-19 pandemic to an end, the Associated Press reported. The gubernatorial hopeful said that he’s against schools requiring masks, but wouldn’t indicate whether he would ban them from doing so if elected governor. In contrast, businessman John Cox, another candidate, negated recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention by claiming that those previously infected with the virus should not get vaccinated....

The Dolphins defensive tackle was ticketed for improper lane change, which caused the chain of events that led to the horrific crash. According to Florida Highway Patrol’s report, Norton was driving his Ford F250 truck on the outside lane of State Road 836 in the Miami area when he made a quick turn to try and get to the inside lanes going southbound. As he sped up and changed lanes, he clipped the front of a Maserati, which caused Norton to crash into a concrete barrier and overturn the truck....

American fifth seed Kenin was too good for teenager Bianca Andreescu 6-4 3-6 7-5 in Acapulco on Friday. Canadian 18-year-old Andreescu led 3-0 to start the first set but she lost five successive games as Kenin hit the front.
