Colin Vinh Pho, 22, a student at Kent State University, was riding his scooter east on County Road 148 near the intersection of State Route 261 in Franklin Township after 9:30 p.m. when a vehicle collided with the rear of the scooter, according to a statement from the university. The driver didn’t stop at the scene and continued driving east, according to Cleveland.com. The victim was taken to the University Hospital Portage Medical Center but didn’t survive his injuries....

He was sentenced to 19 years in prison, but was pardoned by Bevin, who had political connections to Baker’s family. Kenya’s 800-metre athlete David Rudisha, who broke the world record in 2010 twice, will start his outdoor season in Australia at Melbourne and Sydney meetings to be held in March. “I hope that running in Melbourne and Sydney will again set me up for a strong season and success at the Olympic Games in London (August),” the Kenya runner said in Eldoret.
