Billy Reynolds, a school bus driver and teacher, was detained on Thursday after an investigation by Kentucky State Police and the FBI. The 41-year-old allegedly offered $10,000 to the unidentified person to kill his mother and paid the individual a retainer fee in the lead up to his arrest. Officers became aware of the alleged murder plot on January 15 and made the arrest this week. The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced on Wednesday that Shelly Stallings faces charges including assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers using a dangerous weapon for her alleged role in the attack. She joins the more than 750 people who have been arrested and charged in relation to the Capitol riot in 13 months.
