Hall, Bob KnightWhat happened: This was the first tournament matchup between the two schools, and it’s the only time the Hoosiers beat the Wildcats in the NCAA tournament. Steve Downing led the Hoosiers with 23 points, and Quinn Buckner added 16 points. Indiana lost in the Final Four to eventual national champion UCLA.
